Lord of the Rings Statues & Busts by Sideshow/Weta
Sideshow has partnered with Weta Workshop to develop multiple lines of polystone Lord of the Rings Statues, Busts and other collectibles based on the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Weta Workshop is the Special Effects Company that created the effects for all three Lord of the Rings films. The Sideshow / Weta collaboration will be responsible for the development and marketing of polystone collectibles: Statues, Busts, Miniature Weapons, Miniature Armor and Helmets, and Wall Plaques. Each of these items have been meticulously crafted, expertly reproduced to the highest standards and are meant to bring the discerning collector a lifetime of enjoyment.

About the Lord of the Rings Statues / Figures
Amazingly detailed 1:6 scale statues that have been hand cast in heavy weight polystone and hand painted to the highest standards. The display base has been etched with the map of Middle Earth and also includes the Lord of the Rings logo, the character's name and sculptor's signature. These are authentic replications of the film's central characters and each figure has been endorsed by the actor who portrayed the character on film.
About the Lord of the Rings Busts
The essence of each character is brilliantly captured in these 1:4 scale busts. As with the statues, each bust has been hand cast in heavy weight polystone and hand painted to the highest standards. Each bust sits on a classically turned base that includes the name of the character and the sculptor's signature.
About the Lord of the Rings Helms
The cast metal helms (helmets) are exact 1:4 scale miniatures of the helmets used in the "Fellowship of the Ring." They have been expertly recreated by the same metalsmiths who made the full scale pieces for the film(s). Each sits on a classically turned pedestal that includes the name of the helm and the sculptor's signature.
Our Review
We received the Lord of the Rings Gandalf Statue for review and it is the most impressive Tolkien product that we have seen so far. Even the detailed images of the statue on our site and the SideShow site do not do justice to how the statue looks in real life. The details are amazing and so it quality of the paintwork. The statue was also larger than we had imagined it to be. The statue comes with a seperate base on which you can place the statue. The base is a piece of art by itself with a very fine etch of the map of Middle-earth. The product came securily packed in a very large protective box which tells the story of Gandalf and has some cool images. In short: these products are truly great and the best we have seen so far. If you now some place where you can view them, go take a look and you will agree with us.
